At the Chicago Auto Show Dodge Company introduced the “charged” version of its updated sedan Charger,termed the SRT8.
From the regular version Charger SRT8 version can be easily distinguished by the aggressive front with glossy black grille, different front bumper and hood, new wiper blades, side skirts, two nozzle to the exhaust system and 20-inch alloy wheels.
From zero to hundreds of “charged” sedan shoots for four seconds, and its maximum speed is 280 km/h. It is also worth noting that the new power unit is equipped with a shutdown of several cylinders in motion at low speeds, making the engine more economical and environmentally friendly, compared to the previous 6.1-liter V8.
Finally, the Dodge Charger SRT8 is also equipped with powerful Brembo brake system with ventilated disc brakes, repurposed power steering and adaptive suspension. Prices for the novelty has not yet named, but the beginning of sales in the United States planned for this autumn.
Under the hood is the updated Charger SRT8 6.4-liter “eight” HEMI, outstanding 465 hp and maximum torque of 630 Nm, which is transmitted to wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission with manual mode with the ability to choose the transmission gearshift paddles.
In addition, customers can order the machine to install 900-watt audio system Harmon Kardon, the system UConnect Touch with the 8.4-inch color display, as well as heated and ventilated front seats.
Inside, Dodge Charger SRT8 set sport seats with perforated suede inserts, steering wheel truncated rim and finishing in the center console to use artificial carbon fiber and aluminum inserts.
